Guide Dogs Volunteer Application Form - Puppy Raiser, Boarder or Breeding Stock Guardian

Prerequisites


  • You must be over the age of 18 years old. 
  • You must have your own reliable vehicle and full drivers license.
  • You must either own your own property, or have a letter from your Landlord allowing a puppy/dog onto the property, as we are not liable for any damages caused by the puppy eg: chewing and digging.   
  • You must work 25 hours a week or less.
  • You must live within close proximity (maximum 1 hour travel time) to either Auckland, Christchurch, Hamilton, Tauranga or Wellington.
Please verify the above prerequisites, by emailing a copy of your Drivers License and a letter from your Landlord (if you are renting) to gds@blindlowvision.org.nz. In the subject line, include "(Your full name): Guide Dogs Volunteer Application Form." 

Please make sure you have the required documents before completing the application.

Although you will be the primary Puppy Raiser or Boarder or Breeding Stock Guardian, it is important that the other members of the family / household are also keen to be involved with raising the puppy.
